Kyra - "Kyra's favorite activity on Saturday morning is to ride her horse at Connections. She lives for the time when she can be out with the horses and her teammates. She knows she feels better after riding and she actually realizes how horse therapy has helped her to cope with everyday challenges that would normally cause her to be overwhelmed. We have seen such improvement in Kyra's ability to handle activities like going to the dentist, getting her head washed and playing with her friends. We feel so blessed to have found Cathy and the Connections Therapeutic Riding Center. Taj and Jahze - "Connections, horses healing hearts, has been a transformative experience for Taj and Jahze my twin sons. I've noticed such a dramatic change in how they interact at school, home, and with each other. As a parent of two children with autism, the has not been easy. They received early intervention at 7 months old, and although many of the therapies they were involved with did make a tremendous difference, I've never witnessed anything like what is happening now through the riding and from the relationships that are blossoming between my boys and their horses. Chris - "My son has been going to Connections for a few years now and its wonderful to see how much stronger his core has become. When he first started he was only able to sit up straight on the horse for a few minutes at a time and now he's stronger than ever. His coordination has improved tremendously not that he doesn't show gross motor delays in P.E. Connections also helps him take more responsibility and teaches him to be caring of the animals and the other children.
